First Round: Symphonic wind orchestra of Augsburg university‘s Leopold-Mozart-Zentrum               
Second Round: Concert band Bayerische Brassband Akademie (3BA) / The Concert band of the Bavarian Brass Band Academy            
Semi-final: Augsburger Philharmoniker / Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra
Final: Musikkorps der Bundeswehr (Siegburg/ Bonn) / The Concert Band of the German Armed Forces

Repertoire examples (the whole repertoire for the competition can be found on the website):
For symphonic wind band e.g. „Fantasy Tales“ - Piet Swerts, for brass band „Vita Aeterna Variations“ – Alexander Comitas and for symphonic orchestra pieces by Richard Strauss, e.g. „Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche“ and „Don Juan“.

The competition has no age restriction, languages during the rounds of the competition will be German and English. We are looking for conductors of all orchestral forms (symphonic orchestra, wind band, fanfare band and brass band).

In addition to an attractive prize money the winner may call himself/herself „Winner of the 1st International Con- ductors Competition Augsburg 2016“ and will further- more be awarded a guest conducting engagement.
