Wind music contest
PREFACE
The Wind Music Grand Prix of Hungary is an international music contest for wind orchestras, bands, ensembles and majorette groups life accompanied by wind orchestras.
The event will be held from 4th till 10th of July 2010 in Pécs at the locations of Expo-Center and National Theater Pécs .
CONTEST
1) The international contest is open to amateur bands from Europe and worldwide. Military and professional bands and ensembles are not admitted to compete. Orchestras and ensembles from music education institutions, such as music universities, conservatories, etc. are allowed.
2) The competition is organized into four categories:
a) Category – Original concert wind music
b) Category – Concert march music
c) Category – Entertainment wind music
d) Category – Majorettes with wind orchestra
3) The same orchestra/majorette group may participate in two different categories.
FESTIVAL
If you are not interested in taking part the competition, you are welcome as a concert performer at the festival program regarding above mentioned categories. There is a rich offering of indoor and/or open air concerts in different locations of the city and the region.
