The contest is open to anyone 40 years of age or younger. The work shall be for concert band with no restrictions as to style or form. Compositions must be for Grade III/IV Concert Band not to exceed 8 minutes in length. Entries must be the original and unpublished concert band work of the composer. A full score and compact disc recording of specified instrumentation need to be submitted. The prize to the winner is US$2000. Entries must be received by Sunday, November 1, 2009.
